Hinrich |
Guard Kirk Hinrich
Out
Torn ulnar collateral ligament of his right thumb
On Dec. 30, Hinrich confirmed Vinny Del Negro's disclosure that he is two to three weeks away from returning to action
"So far I'm ahead of schedule," Hinrich told the media on Dec. 30. "It just keeps getting stronger. I've been able to handle the ball and shoot. It's just a matter of picking the right time to let me start shooting around and full contact and stuff like that."
"I've been lifting hard and doing a lot of running," Hinrich added. "The last two or three days I've been able to handle the ball and start shooting. It's still a little tender. I have to tape it up really well before I start handling the ball. But I'm real optimistic I can be back and pretty close to 100 percent."
Hinrich had the pin in his thumb removed on Dec. 17
Underwent successful surgery on Nov. 11 on his torn ulnar collateral ligament of his right thumb

Gooden |
Forward Drew Gooden
Questionable
Sprained right ankle
"I’m very close to making my way back," Gooden said on Dec. 30. "It’s to the point right now where I don’t want to rush it. If I have to sacrifice missing another game or two to be at 85 or 90 percent, that’s probably better than coming back too soon and tweaking my ankle again. Right now I’m just doing what I can to stay in shape and be as ready as possible to contribute when I’m good to go."
Ruffin |
