The Optimist takes a lighthearted look at the bright side of the Cavaliers season. He predicted the Wine and Gold to go 82-0 at the beginning of the season and hasn't stopped since. The Optimist makes an appearance before every Cavaliers game and on random occasions.
Remember, all the Optimist ever asks of Cavaliers fans is two things...

January 2 - vs. Chicago Bulls
The Bulls and Cavaliers is a contentious little rivalry. Whether you include their playoff past or not, these two teams really just don’t like one another. This is the third time they’ve played in 65 days and they go again on January 15. Neither Ben Wallace nor Larry Huge nor Drew Gooden feels too warm and fuzzy about their departure. TheBron and Andres Nocioni usually find their way under each other’s skin. And in possibly the most interesting matchup, there’s the battle between our beloved Wild Thing, Anderson Varejao, and his Chicago doppelganger – the Noble One, Joakim Noah. For those of you non-Germanians who don’t know the meaning of the word dop•pel•gäng•er, it is literally: “n. - A ghostly double of a living person, especially one that haunts its fleshly counterpart.” Both are high energy players of varied and interesting backgrounds. Both are fierce competitors who rely on hustle and savvy more than size and strength. Both have to wear NBA-mandated hairnets on their respective Team Bus. Both looked silly on Draft Night. Anderson and Jaokim Noah don’t hate each other -- the way Lao-tzu hated Confucius. But they’re well aware that they’re one another’s fleshly counterpart.
